From an early age, I learned how to work with the different aspects of industrial equipment around the family business, with my first debut being on the bandsaw.  My fascination for building and my curiosity for how things work inspired me to learn the rest of the tools in the shop.  This is where the foundation of working with my hands was born.

Like most, I chose other avenues to pursue in life, however I found myself consistently drawn to creating with my hands along the way.  I moved to the Outer Banks in 2005, building custom sport fishing yachts for Bayliss Boat Works.  There I honed my skills further in all aspects of the trade, mastering the equipment and further understanding the material.  This exposure opened me up to expert level accuracy and design aesthetics.   These skill gave me the confidence to design, build and create anything I set my mind to.  The addition of color was brought into my life when I met my partner Robyn.  Adding color theory to my world was the spark I needed.  From here I create…

Throughout my life I have been drawn to art.  At a young age in Southern Illinois, I initiated my endeavor through realism and illustration.   My creations carried me through college via an art scholarship at Savannah College of Art and Design where I studied for several years.   From there, I expanded my creativity into computer programming, and have since reached an elegant balance that combines technology with visual art.

My love for the ocean brought me to Virginia Beach in 2000.   This passion grew from not only the energy of the waves, but also for the creatures within.  In 2015, I reached a beautiful place in my life where I've set myself free from expectations and the idea of perfection in my artwork.  This freedom allows me to set my intention, delve into my subconscious, and create utilizing my natural attunement to color and shape.  Maintaining the openness to the outcome and the universal connectedness delivers results that far exceed any anticipated outcome.
